What is the TD/AIG Catalyst Model?
At Highland Creek, the goal is to provide enriching, engaging, objective-based support and learning opportunities to high ability and gifted learners as well as the staff. Various methods of instruction are utilized to help reach that objective including: use of multiple intelligence surveys to gauge student interest, the incorporation of personalized learning, problem and project based learning, STEM projects, novel studies, academic conversations that dig deep into topics relevant through a debate format, and the use of the growth-mindset philosophy.
Multiple learning opportunities are used with the students at HCE: co-teaching and planning, enrichment/MTSS block pullout, the providing of tiered resources/lessons developed for teachers to use within the classroom.
